It’s a Wrap!

  1.  Activity:  Ice Cream in a Bag – an investigation in freezing point depression applications
  2. Check your term and final marks.  Your marks will be submitted by Wed morning.  If you don’t check your mark before then and there is an error, it may be too late to change your mark easily.   See me asap!

  1.  today, we watched the movie premiere of the stop motion movies.  They were great! 🙂
  2. In class awards were given. Congratulations budding scientists!
  3. Please make sure you have handed in all your textbooks.

Final Exam – mc section

  1.  Today, students wrote the multiple choice section of the Final Exam.
  2. Next class:  In class awards; tie up loose ends; check final marks; freezing point depression activity
  3. If you have friends in regular Chem11 who want to take AP Chem next year, please help them catch up on topics they missed.  Lend them your notes, review worksheets, etc….Show them how to access the info on this website, etc…Tell them what they need to memorize for next year.

Astronomy – Day 4

  1.  Today, students should be editing their stop motion movies and adding voice overs/sound.
  2. Remember to save your movie to the camera roll.
  3. Next class:  Movie premiers!  You can bring some snacks to eat in the library (we have permission since this is a special event) but must make sure we clean up after ourselves
  4. Next class:  In class awards
  5. Reminder:  Hand in your textbooks to Rm113!!!

2. If you want to access an online version of our textbook (it’s not the same edition, but close enough!), see: http://faculty.srhs.net/boxall/APChem/APChem.html

If you are typing the site address instead of clicking on the link, make sure you capitalize the A, the P and the C in “APChem”! Otherwise, it won’t work and you’ll get a 404 error. The username and password are given for the 10th Edition of Brown and LeMay’s Chemistry the Central Science.

Final Exam -free response section

  1.  Today, students wrote the free response section for the Chemistry 11 Final exam.
  2. Organize the lab stations
  3. Study!
  4. Next class:  Final exam multiple choice section – 50 questions
  5. The summer assignment will be posted online before the end of the school year.  You have the option to return your textbook and solutions book to me and use the online resources  OR you can keep them over the summer (in mint condition please!) and return them to me in Sept.  We will probably be switching to the newer 12th edition in Sept.
